Description

This new, one-day session will provide participants with activities to improve reading fluency and increase reading comprehension.   Teachers of kindergarten – third grade students are encouraged to attend. Fluency building activities for students will be discussed and modeled using explicit methods for instruction. Methods for monitoring a student’s progress toward the mastery of fluency will be included. This session carries .6 CEUs for teachers or 5 SEMI credits for career level administrators.

Directions:   Interstate 59 to Picayune – Take North Exit into Picayune – Go to Hwy 11 take a left, travel across bridge and take right at second red light, and this is Goodyear Boulevard. Take Goodyear Blvd. to Picyune Jr. High Library (two buildings down from the Picayune Career and Technology Center).
